Spring Decor

As you could probably tell, I was very excited to decorate for Valentine's Day this year.  I haven't really been excited about decorating since then, so my red, pink and white stayed up until this weekend.  I finally decided that since it's April, I probably ought to change it up.  Luckily, that was easy to do!  I decided to leave up all my tissue paper poofs and switch my paper lanterns from red to turquoise.  Instant transformation to springtime!

I do think that I need to add some green and/or yellow also.

I also brought out my cute purple flower in a book vase that my mom made for me, and the yellow and green spring-y looking birds that my sister painted and gave me.

Now I just want something on my front door.  There are so many ideas out there in blogland that I don't know where to start or what to choose.

March Book List

Speaking of books, I just realized I hadn't posted this yet.  I had a bit more time for reading this month, and hopefully that keep up because I now have quite a pile to get through, plus all the new releases I have on hold at the library.

I have to say that this month's books were some of the best I've read in a while.  The series' from Kim Harrison, Jim Butcher, Patricia Briggs and J.F. Lewis just keep getting better.  Enemy Within is the first scifi romance book I've read and I have to say that I like the idea, but there wasn't quite enough romance for it to fit in that category.

Enemy Within by Marcella Burnard - 342 pages
The Lost Gate by Orson Scott Card - 378 pages
Dead Beat by Jim Butcher - 513 pages
Blood Cross by Faith Hunter - 321 pages
River Marked by Patricia Briggs - 326 pages
Pale Demon by Kim Harrison - 439 pages
Crossed by J.F. Lewis - 405 pages

TOTAL - 7 Books - 2,384 pages

New Books

I just traded in my whole Robert Jordan collection and my Christmas gift certificate and got a whole new bunch of lovely books. I'm so excited! The kitties seem quite interested as well.
