My very own FAIL

I read the Fail Blog (failblog.org) all the time, and finally found something to send in. These are freshly painted arrows in the parking lot by the FYE in Riverdale.

Photos On-the-Go

I always have my camera in my purse. Quite often, I notice something interesting while I am driving, and pull my camera out to take a shot. Sometimes they don't come out very well, but most of the time they are decent. These are some of the ones I captured:

Count 'em: there's 8, yes 8 doors on this fifth wheel. Why? You guess! We guessed mobile brothel. I had a coworker guess actor's trailer. Anything else you can come up with?

Not a good investment.

Hmm... do we need one of these on our Jeep?

Nothing like showing off during hunting season...

Redneck all the way...

"See, THIS is why I was over an hour late from work today!"

I had a couple more, but couldn't find them to share with you. I saw a Christmas tree sticking out of a tiny Honda's trunk, and an old VW bug painted in painstaking detail like a patchwork quilt.

Post-Wedding Vehicle Decorations

I have to admit that one of my favorite things about weddings is decorating the cars. We never do anything TOO mean (like syrup & flour) but it is fun to use the window chalk, condoms, balloons, streamers, and whatever else you can find that's non-damaging.

We had some friends get married the other night (well, technically they were already married, but they finally had the ceremony), so we prepared to decorate. The best part is that the groom always keeps his truck spotless, so it was even more fun to get it dirty.

We had gone over to their house after the ceremony to hang out for a while, and ended up "leaving" at about 1 a.m. We went outside and got the decorations out, then proceeded to decorate.

I had finished writing "Just" on the back window and the boys were blowing up condoms when some more people left, and the bride & groom followed them out of the house. "Uh-oh", we thought, "Busted!" But they didn't seem to notice anything. They boys hid on the other side of the truck and I scrunched down in the bed as far as I could go. The groom actually came outside, got in the truck and then locked it for the night without ever noticing us. They finally went back in the house, and we finished the decorations.

Up to no good? Who, me?

Breaking in the Jeep - American Fork Canyon

On Sunday we went four-wheeling up American Fork Canyon with some friends. We were headed up a dirt road when we stopped to talk to another Jeeper headed the opposite direction. He knew the area, so we turned around and followed him to the good trails. There was really good wheeling (or rock-crawling as the case may be) and we had an awesome time.

We really beat up the bottom of the Jeep, but it's pretty covered with skid plates and rock sliders, so no real damage done. It just made up our minds that we are going to get a lift and bigger tires for a little extra clearance to prevent future problems.

Breaking in the Jeep - Strawberry Ridge

On Friday we went with the family four-wheeling by Strawberry Reservoir. We only had to put the Jeep in 4-wheel drive once, which was pretty disappointing. It was a very pretty drive though, and all-in-all was a nice day.
